Our vision is to provide public access to a distinguished elementary school that offers the unique benefits of IB and a bilingual education through a German immersion program. The main cornerstones of International Charter School of La Mirada are academic excellence, a milieu of mutual respect and dedicated educators, involved parents and motivated students working hand in hand to build a strong environment.

Our Mission

The mission of ICS is to prepare our children to rise to tomorrow's global challenges. We believe a global citizen should feel at home in different cultures in a connected world. Bilingualism expands the students' world, opening the door to other cultures and developing a child that has intercultural understanding and respect.   Furthermore learning foreign languages improves cognitive development in areas such as more flexibility in thinking. We assist students in becoming independent, creative and inventive thinkers. Our focus lies on supporting the students to find their strengths, use their imagination and to think from a new perspective. We believe we should nurture our children's natural curiosity, helping them to exercise initiative and become explorers of new ideas and life-long learners. Our goal is to have our children make a DIFFERENCE in the world:
